Expo 2020 is organized to be a World Expo to be anchored by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. They initially planned it to be held from 20 October 2020–10 April 2021. But because of the Covid-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates, they announced they postponed it to 1 October 2021–31 March 2022. Although it was adjourned, the coordinators went with the same name as Expo 2020, for advertising and trademark purposes. It was prototypical that they have rescheduled rather than abandoned a World Exposition. It was scheduled on 27 November 2013, by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris, that Dubai would organize the event.
The Expo is headed by Reem Al Hashimy, the UAE minister of state for international affairs. Her administration has not only gripped the World Expo to new heights but also crippled the formula image of Arab women.
The Body of Expo:
The Sustainability District will display ‘what countries are performing to promote sustainability, and experience accordingly so that humans can enjoy living in serenity with the environment in a sophisticated future. The Mobility District will project ‘networks to steer the globe forward, cracking down the isolation between the visceral and digital worlds’. The Opportunity District will hub on ‘how our lives and actions are linked’.
The major place of Expo 2020 Dubai will be a 438-hectare zone, positioned between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The American Firm HOK sketched the blueprint, is systematic around an intermediate plaza, entitled Al Wasi, surrounded by three large Thematic districts. They customize individually it to one sub-themes of Expo 2020–that is Opportunity, Mobility, and Sustainability. Dubai has also been highlighting financing in several sectors, such as recession, real estate, surrounding avenues, and public affairs. Of late, Dubai has made major funding in real estate and has instigated the world’s huge solar power project, which has been planned to set about by the commencement of Expo 2020.
The theme for the expo is called “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. The expo’s sub-themes are Sustainability, Mobility, and Opportunity.
Besides sustainability pavilion, this district will have Hammour House which delves coral reef, a dais with a seating capacity of 300 and Walk through a waterfall Brazil’s national pavilion, Water the desert Czech Republic’s, Enter a rainforest Singapore’s, Wear cutting-edge devices Germany’s, Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion UAE’s pavilion, and Enter a Miniature world Netherlands pavilion.
This district will contain the world’s biggest passenger lift that will be efficient to transport over 160 people.

Visitors can book three types of passes according to their convenience: daily passes, monthly passes, seasonal passes. The daily passes apply for a day only with the cost of AED 95. The monthly passes provide an unlimited entry for 30 continuous days with AED 195. The seasonal pass provides an unrestricted entry for the entire six months of the Expo with AED 495.
For the children below the age of 18, students who carry a valid ID from recognized institutions, and visitors aged above 60, entry is free. Also, tickets are free for visitors with inflexibility with 50% off for the caretaker. They will issue these tickets worldwide from 18th July 2021at the website www.expo 2020 dubai.com.
